Welcome to 2009!

And how is the New Year working out for you so far? To be honest, I started the year off feeling disorganized so I started by cleaning and organizing my entire scrap space. It feels great! Except for the fact that I have come to realize that I have way too many scrap supplies and patterned paper that I have hoarded and are starting to accumulate at alarming rates. So I made my first scrap related resolution, it is as follows:

1. Use as much of my stuff as possible! (so I can buy more...)

Besides, I am instituting a scrap budget (eek! I know!) so I will have to be choosy about what I buy. I would love to get our line of credit paid off, and of course that is easier said then done, especially when I am in the middle of buying new furniture for the house LOL.

Anyhow, anybody have any scrap related resolutions? I would love to hear them if you do! That being said, I was inspired by Triple the Sketch blog (sketch #38) to create this layout, you can find their site (and the sketch) HERE.

and in other news.....

Making memories is holding a 2009 give-away (YUM!). Stop by their blog and leave a comment on the January 2nd post about what you like and what you would like to see in the future.

Prima Build-a-Page Sketch

Is back! I love it, an inspiring sketch and the chance to win goodies, how awesome is that? You've got until January 30th to upload into the Prima gallery.

Art Freckles Blog Contest

Art Freckles blog (Ontario) is hosting a "Use Your Stash" contest (isn't this an awesome idea???) and after the 6-week period there is a chance of winning a guest DT spot. Sound like fun? Check out the facts HERE.

Featured Canadian Kits

Here is a look at the January 2009 kit from "Love is in the Details" a Canadian online store/gallery/forum based out of Manitoba. What a great store and wonderful/friendly chatter in the forum. The base for this kit is the Fancy Pants "Splendid" line with some other stuff thrown in from Jenni Bowlin, Bazzill and Maya Road, to name a few.

That's all I've got for you tonight.

Thank you for all the wonderfl news. One of my resolutions for the new year is to transform my cardmaking hobby into a full time business and also to show people my actual process of creating. I am also countinuing my last year habit of using stuff from my scrap stash first and buying new stuff only with the money I can earn from selling my invitations. This keeps me on a budget and prevents me from buying stuff that I don't use.
